Job Overview:
The Sales Director, Demand sales is responsible for driving revenue growth through the proactive identification and acquisition of new business opportunities. This role is suited for a sales professional with a hunter mentality and a strategic, consultative sales approach, focused on delivering value and long-term success for clients by leveraging the RevContent platform. The Director will work hands-on to develop leads, close deals, and ensure client success by providing clear, actionable feedback that aligns customer goals with the capabilities of the RevContent platform. This is an individual contributor role without management responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Director, Demand sales will be responsible for a broad range of areas including, but not limited to the following:

  • Proactively develop and execute demand sales strategies focused on generating qualified leads and driving new business opportunities.
  • Identify and engage potential clients who can benefit from the RevContent platform.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to deeply understand client needs and tailor RevContent platform solutions to address specific business challenges.
  • Provide clear, consistent feedback to clients, ensuring they understand how to fully leverage the capabilities of the RevContent platform for maximum performance and ROI.
  • Ensure a seamless client onboarding process and work closely with customers to optimize their use of the platform to achieve long-term success.
  • Own the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification to negotiation and closing deals.
  • Strategically qualify leads, ensuring a focus on opportunities that align with RevContent’s value proposition.
  • Track and manage sales activity using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and provide insights on pipeline health and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate closely with product, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Act as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, providing feedback on customer pain points, market demands, and feature requests to help refine the RevContent platform.
  • Represent RevContent at industry events, conferences, and meetings, positioning the company as a leader in content recommendation solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, leads, and opportunities within CRM systems.
  • Regularly analyze and report on key metrics, including pipeline growth, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and revenue performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve the efficiency of sales processes and customer success strategies.
  • Other projects as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Ad tech experience and a list of available contacts that can be positively leveraged.
  • 2-4 years of experience in demand sales, with a track record of consultative selling in a B2B or SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated success in closing deals and achieving revenue targets through strategic, value-driven sales approaches.
  • Experience working in or with content recommendation platforms (such as RevContent) is a strong plus.
  • Hunter mentality with a relentless drive to identify and close new business opportunities.
  • Consultative sales approach with a focus on client success and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and data-driven sales methodologies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to provide actionable insights that drive client success on the RevContent platform.
  • Demonstrate the ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from team leader to accomplish company objectives.
  • Meticulously detail-oriented, organized and with excellent follow up skills with the ability to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Initiative and self-discipline when working independently with the demanding pace of the Company.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
